Rockcastle Regional named a “Best Places to Work in Kentucky”
Rockcastle Regional Hospital and Respiratory Care Center has been named a “Best Places to Work in Kentucky” for 2018 by the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and the Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management (KYSHRM).
“We are incredibly proud to be recognized by Best Places for the third year-in-a-row,” said Carmen Poynter, human resources director at Rockcastle Regional. “Our goal is to attract, hire, and retain individuals who embody our mission and core values. We are passionate about creating a workplace environment where our employees feel valued and are able to succeed.”
Winners from across the state have been selected in three categories: small companies of 15-149 employees, medium companies of 150-499 employees, and large companies consisting of 500 or more employees. Rockcastle Regional was named a winner in the large company category based on its more than 800 employees. The selection process, managed by Best Companies Group, is based on an assessment of the company’s employee policies and procedures and the results of an internal employee survey.
The competition is a multi-year initiative designed to motivate companies in the Commonwealth to focus, measure, and move their workplace environments toward excellence.
“We are nationally recognized for the quality care we provide for our patients,” said Stephen A. Estes, Rockcastle Regional president and CEO. “This award shows the commitment we also have to our employees. Our goal is to be the destination employer in the region by cultivating an atmosphere where our employees have the opportunity to do purposeful, worthwhile, and meaningful work. This award is a testament to the work our employees do every day.”
Rockcastle Regional was recognized for this achievement at an awards dinner on April 17 in Lexington, KY.
