Our oncology rehab program focuses on helping patients regain physical function and independence following surgical or medical treatment that may have left an individual unable to resume his or her normal lifestyle or in need of some level of assistance.
It is our objective to:
- Provide appropriate diet and nutritional counseling with dietary services.
- Improve physical condition and mobility with physical therapy.
- Use occupational therapy to assist with activities of daily living.
- Improve mental conditions by working with a social worker.

Patient education and training
Our clinical staff provides various resources that will help patients and their families learn what they need to know about their cancer type and treatments. Print materials and educational presentations are available to patients and their families. We also have a computer in the chemotherapy suite specifically for cancer patients and their families to access many online resources.
Look Good, Feel Better group sessions
Volunteer beauty professionals lead small groups through practical, hands-on experience teaching cancer patients beauty tips to look good and feel better about their appearance during chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Women learn about makeup, skin and nail care, and ways to deal with hair loss such as with wigs, turbans and scarves. Each woman gets a free makeup kit to use during and after the workshop.
