Rockcastle Regional Welcomes Dr. Lura Cash

Rockcastle Regional is pleased to welcome dentist Dr. Lura Cash who will lead the team at Rockcastle Family Dental Center.

Dr. Cash earned her medical degree in dentistry from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 2017 and completed her general practice residency at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.

“As a dentist, I have the opportunity to help my patients be healthy, happy, and confident in their oral health,” said Dr. Cash. “With each patient, we focus on their individual needs and tailor a specific plan to best meet their goals for their smile and overall oral health.”

Dr. Cash acknowledges that some patients might experience some hesitancy, even fear, when it comes to dental visits. “When I am caring for my patients, I am focused on the experience of that individual, at that moment. My goal is to provide a welcoming, non-intimidating dental environment where I work with each patient to ensure they are comfortable with each step of their dental journey.”

During her general practice residency program, she received training to manage medically compromised patients and to perform more advanced sedation, than is typical in a traditional general family dental office setting. “The ability to offer more treatment options offers patients the opportunity to receive a greater variety of dental services in an office where they feel most comfortable.”

As a native of Rockcastle County, Dr. Cash says she feels incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to return home to practice. As a graduate of Rockcastle County High School, and a former Brodhead Elementary School Tiger, she is excited to provide dental care to the community where she was raised.

Dr. Cash resides in Brodhead with her husband, Mark Dyehouse, and their two sons, Yadon and Fowler. When not at work, she enjoys thrift shopping, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with her family, including her parents, also residents of Brodhead, Ronnie and Katreka Cash.
