Rockcastle Regional is thrilled to announce the reopening of its Wellness Center, located on the third floor of the Outpatient Services Building. After a prolonged closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Wellness Center is ready to welcome the community back with a variety of fitness classes starting in September 2024.

The Wellness Center has always been a cornerstone of community health, offering a space for certified fitness instructors to hold classes tailored to diverse fitness needs. Each instructor has the flexibility to set their own fees, allowing for a range of affordable options for participants. This setup not only supports local fitness instructors, but also ensures that community members have access to a variety of classes that fit their schedules and budgets.

One of the most anticipated returns is the popular SilverSneakers® program, designed specifically for older adults. SilverSneakers® provides a fun, energizing way for seniors to improve their fitness, maintain their health, and enjoy social interaction. This program has been a favorite among older adults, offering low-impact exercises that help improve strength, flexibility, balance, and endurance. SilverSneakers® classes are low cost and often free, depending on your insurance coverage. To learn more about SilverSneakers® and see if you are eligible for free classes, please call Kayla Abney at (606) 256-7383.

Whether you are a long-time fitness enthusiast or someone looking to start a new health journey, the Wellness Center offers something for everyone. Join us in September and take the first step towards a healthier, more active lifestyle!
