Annual Well Checks

 

What can I expect during my child's well check?

When you bring your child for a well-care visit or checkup, our providers will:

  • measure your child's height and weight, and calculate body mass index (BMI)
  • perform a full physical exam
  • ask questions about the environment in which your child is living
  • provide information about many areas of healthy child development (including information about normal developmental stages, safety concerns, nutrition, and activity)
  • give immunizations (shots) that protect your child from certain diseases
  • answer your questions about your child's well-being

Scheduling Information

Well Check schedule:

  • 2-3 days of age
  • By 1 month of age
  • 2 months of age
  • 4 months of age
  • 6 months of age
  • 9 months of age
  • 12 months of age
  • 15 months of age
  • 18 months of age
  • 24 months of age

Once a child reaches 3 years of age, he or she should be seen every year for a well-check.
